Florida Memorial University is a 4-year private institution founded in 1879. FMU offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The student population is 928 (887 undergraduates). The student to faculty ratio is 13 to 1. FMU is NAIA Division II (Sun Conference) participating in men's basketball, football, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, competitive cheer (coed) and women's basketball, indoor and outdoor track, softball, volleyball, beach volleyball.

Choose one essay topic (750 words) - Name a historical figure, past or present, that you would like to have a conversation with. What topics would you cover and why? - How could FMU assist you with student development, social responsibility, and academic achievement? - If you were able to create a university of your own, what programs would you promote and why? (a minimum of 3 academic programs are required) *TWO letters of recommendation.

Applicants must be admitted to FMU prior to December 1. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for admissions by November 15. Scholarship application deadline is February 1. Recipients are notified by April 1. Scholarship offer must be accepted and enrollment deposit paid by May 1.
Special Requirements:
Required: Minimum 75 completed hours of community service. Standardized tests must be taken by listed "last test dates" for scholarship consideration. Last test dates: SAT – November; ACT – October. Test scores must come directly from the testing agency. Note: Students must indicate Florida Memorial University as a school to receive scores at the time of test registration, otherwise students cannot guarantee scores will arrive in time for scholarship evaluation. If scores are not received by the application review time, they will not be considered.
Renewal Requirements:
Renewable up to 4 years. Detailed renewal requirements are provided in the university contract when the recipient is awarded the scholarship.
